Tri-County Head Start currently has openings for a Mental Health Consultant.  Our service area is Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties.

Position Summary: Responsible for provision of and coordination of Mental Health services for assigned caseload. Consultant will work with both parents and staff to enhance their awareness and understanding of mental wellness and its impact on children and families. Consultant aims to improve the ability of staff, families, programs, and systems to prevent, identify, treat and reduce impact of mental health problems among children and their families. Assures agency compliance with Head Start
Performance Standards.

Rate of Pay: $21.68 per hour

Education Requirement: BA degree in Social Work 

Qualifications: Must be working toward or willing to work towards state licensure or have current professional license in the State of Michigan.

Related Experience: Two years of experience working with young children (age 0 – 5) and families preferred.
